DAY 2 SCORES

KEENE, N.H. (September 10, 2012) -- The Franklin Pierce University golf team fired a 24-over-par, 312, during the final round Monday of the 2012 FPU Division II Fall Invitational at the Bretwood Country Club North Course in Keene, N.H. The Ravens moved up a spot from day one to finish in fourth place with a score of 615 (+39).

American International won the tournament with a two-round score of 601 (+25), while Bentley finished as the runner up with a total of 606 (+30).

The main highlight of the afternoon, and the tournament, was the continued outstanding play of senior co-captain Ian Landry (Loudon, N.H.), who fired a second round 74 (+2). The solid score came just one day after he carded a three-under-par, 69, in the first round.

Landry's two-round total of 143 (-1) allowed him to finish second in the tournament, only trailing AIC's Ramon Ventura, who took home medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 142 (-2). Ventura locked up the title on Monday as he shot a four-under 68. Landry's two-round, one-under score marked the lowest 36-hole total in his collegiate career.

Another Raven turned in a top-10 finish with a stellar final round, as sophomore Stew Wise (Angier, N.C.) carded a 73 (+1) on Monday to finish in a tie for seventh place with a two-day score of 149 (+5).

Freshman Sean Shepard (Griswold, Conn.) tied for 28th with a two-round score of 160 (+16), including shooting a second round 82 (+10). Senior co-captain Ricky Gray (Jaffrey, N.H.) finished four spots back of Shephard as he tied for 32nd with a total of 163 (+19). Gray shot an 11-over-par, 83, on Monday. Junior Adam Spencer (Jericho, Vt.) finished 41st with a score of 172 (+28).

Franklin Pierce returns to action this weekend when the Ravens compete in the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship on Sunday and Monday at the Timberlin Country Club in Berlin, Conn. Sunday's first round will begin at 1:15 p.m., with Monday's final round to start at 8 a.m.
