Golf Finishes Sixth at Assumption Shootout

CHARLTON, Mass. (April 16, 2013) -- The Franklin Pierce
University golf team carded a 335 (+51) on Tuesday to finish sixth
out of seven teams in the Assumption Spring Shootout at the
Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Mass. The Holy Cross Purple Team
won the event by shooting a 17-over-par, 301.
Franklin Pierce was led by freshman Sean Shepard (Griswold, Conn.), who fired an eight-over-par, 79, while senior Ricky Gray (Jaffrey, N.H.) continued his solid play in the spring season by shooting an 80 (+9).
Senior Ian Landry (Loudon, N.H.) and rookie Nick Adjutant (Rochester, N.H.) each shot an 88 (+17), while classmate Brad Auclair (Cumberland, R.I.) carded a 90 (+19).
Franklin Pierce returns to action on April 23 when the Ravens compete in the Worcester State Tournament.
