TYNGSBORO, Mass. (October 1, 2007)
– The Franklin Pierce University golf team placed tenth at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Lowell, on the 6,740-yard par 72 layout at Vesper Country Club.

Franklin Pierce posted a team score of 649 at the two-day event in which four of its five golfers were forced to complete their opening round this morning after darkness halted play on Sunday. The Ravens improved their 331 team score on Sunday/Monday to a 318 in the second round. Bentley College captured the team championship with a 616 (311-305) team score, led by individual medalist Scott Leopold with a two-day score of two-over-par 146 (73-73).

Junior captain Corey Dunn (Port Jefferson, N.Y./Comsewogue) led Franklin Pierce with a two-day total of 157, including a low round of 76 for the Ravens this afternoon, to finish tied for 16th overall – just three strokes off the pace for All-Conference honors.
