Franklin Pierce Opens Spring Season at 35th Annual Lou Flumere Invitational
Jasinski and Dunn post 88s
as Ravens place 19th overall
STOW, Mass. (April 2, 2008) – The Franklin Pierce
University golf team opened its spring season with a 19th place
finish at the 35th Annual Lou Flumere Invitational, hosted by
Bentley College, at Stow Acres Country Club today.
Franklin Pierce turned in a 356 team score to place seventh among
Division II programs at the event. Nichols College took the team
title with a score of 312. American International College’s
Garrett Beyor (Monson, Mass.) earned medalist honors with a
one-over-par round of 72.
Senior Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford,
Mass./Chelmsford) and junior Corey Dunn (Port
Jefferson, N.Y./Comsewogue) each carded 88s to lead
Franklin Pierce. Senior Kevin Rossi (Kingston,
N.Y./Kingston) contributed an 89.
Franklin Pierce returns to the links on Thursday, April 17, when
it participates in the Western New England College Invitational at
Veterans Country Club in Springfield, Mass.
