Panopoulos places 38th overall to lead Ravens
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 22, 2008) - Franklin Pierce University placed 13th at the American International College Yellow Jackets Invitational on the 6,460-yard par 72 layout at Springfield Country Club over the last two days.
Franklin Pierce posted a two-day score of 674 (333-341) at the event, which was won by Post University (311-293=604). Adelphi University had the top two individual finishers, led by medalist Oliver Hudesman, who followed up a four-under par round of 68 in Monday's first round with a 73 on Tuesday for a two-day score of three-under-par 141. He finished three strokes ahead of teammate Brant Kummerfeld (74-70=144).
Sophomore Peter Panopoulos (Rindge, N.H./Conant) led Franklin Pierce with a two-day score of 164 (82-82) to place 38th overall. Senior Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) placed 40th overall with a two-day score of 165 (82-83).
Franklin Pierce returns to the links next Wednesday when it hosts its Spring Invitational at The Shattuck in Jaffrey beginning at noon.
