Franklin Pierce Places Sixth at Assumption Shootout
Panopoulos cards 82 to lead Ravens and place 17th overall
SUTTON, Mass. (October 16, 2006) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team placed sixth at the Assumption College Division II Shootout on the par-72 layout at Blackstone National Country Club this afternoon.
Franklin Pierce posted a 335 team score, while host Assumption captured the team title with a score of 296. The Greyhounds took the top two individual spots overall, led by medalist Tyler Johnson with a one-under-par round of 71.
Freshman Peter Panopoulos (Rindge, N.H./Conant) led Franklin Pierce, carding an 82 to place 17th overall. Junior Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) posted an 83 for 18th overall.
Franklin Pierce rounds out its fall season at the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Championships on Cape Cod Sunday through Tuesday.
