Jasinski Tied for Ninth After First Day of NE-10 Championships

Chelmsford, Mass., native in position for All-Conference honors, Ravens tenth

MARCELLUS, N.Y. (September 25, 2005) - Franklin Pierce sophomore Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) fired a three-over-par 75 on day one of the 2005 Northeast-10 Conference Championship at The Links at Sunset Ridge (Par 72) Saturday afternoon.

Jasinski's round has placed him in a ninth-place tie, six strokes off the pace set by individual leader Joe Tesori from host Le Moyne College. Jasinski's score has him in position to become the first Franklin Pierce golfer since Aaron Nackoul in 2001 to collect All-Northeast-10 Conference honors.

Franklin Pierce posted a 317 team score for tenth place at the event. Le Moyne leads the way with a five-over-par 293 team score. Sophomore Nathan Vassill (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) carded a seven-over-par round of 79 for the Ravens, while freshman Jason Kreps (Culver, Ind./Culver Military Academy) recorded a round of 81.

The Northeast-10 Championship concludes with a shotgun start on Sunday.
