Franklin Pierce Competes at Duke Nelson Invitational

Jasinski, Kreps pace Ravens in two day event  

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. (September 19, 2005) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team placed 24th at the Duke Nelson Invitational, hosted by Middlebury College, at Ralph Myhre Golf Course this weekend.

Franklin Pierce recorded a two-day team score of 692 (348-344) over the weekend. Williams College captured the team title with a 598 (294-304) team score. The Ravens were fourth among the Division II schools at the Invitational. Saint Anselm led the Northeast-10 contingent with a 627 (307-320) team score for ninth overall. Matthew Slovitt of Williams earned medallist honors with a one-over-par two day score of 143 (73-70) on the par 71 layout.

Sophomore Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) and freshman Jason Kreps (Culver, Ind./Culver Military Academy) led Franklin Pierce as they each posted a score of 170 (84-86) over the two days. Freshman Jacob Greene (Gardner, Mass./The Winchendon School) came back from an opening round 91 with an 84 on Sunday for a 175 score over the weekend.

Franklin Pierce is back in action this weekend for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by Le Moyne College, in Syracuse, N.Y.
