Chelmsford, Mass., native earns honors after solid debut effort

RINDGE, N.H.  (September 21, 2004) - Franklin Pierce freshman Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) was named the Northeast-10 Conference men's golf Freshman of the Week this afternoon.

Jasinski earns the honor after leading a team of Franklin Pierce freshman to second place (behind only the Ravens number one squad) at the Franklin Pierce Invitational last week. Making his collegiate debut, Jasinski carded an 86 on the tough par 71 mountainside layout at The Shattuck in Jaffrey, which was good for fifth place overall at the Invitational. His score was third lowest for the Ravens on the day, which fielded the top two teams at the event overall.

Franklin Pierce returns to the links this weekend for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Saturday and Sunday in Marcellus, N.Y.
