Franklin Pierce Opens Spring at 32nd Lou Flumere Invitational

Jasinski leads Ravens with 83

STOW, Mass. (April 14, 2005) - The Franklin Pierce men's golf team opened its spring schedule at the 32nd Lou Flumere Invitational, hosted by Bentley College, at Stow Acres C.C., this afternoon.

Franklin Pierce tied for 22nd place with a combined team score of 355. Salem State College took the team title with a 308 team score. The Ravens were seventh among Division II programs at the event.

Freshman Craig Jasinski (Chelmsford, Mass./Chelmsford) led Franklin Pierce with a round of 83 to tie for 51st among 111 individuals. Salem State's Matt Baran took medallist honors with a 72. Senior Nick Matulonis (Springfield, Vt./Springfield) finished in a tie for 63rd with an 85 for the Ravens, while freshman Nate Vassill (Biddeford, Maine/Biddeford) carded an 89.
