He tabbed a dozen pass break-ups over two seasons, tying for the team lead both times, with six in each campaign. After completing his collegiate career, Evans was to a rookie minicamp tryout by his hometown Cleveland Browns of the NFL in 2010 (link).

Prior to his time at EKU, Evans played the 2005 and 2006 seasons at the University at Buffalo, prior to sitting out the 2007 season and transferring. Over two seasons in The Nickel City, he appeared in 16 games for the Bulls and recorded 24 tackles (13 solo).
