Northeast-10 Conference Football Weekly Report

MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 5, 2022) -- Freshman Alex Benitez (Belle Meade, N.J.) of the Franklin Pierce University football team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Sept. 4, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Benitez made his collegiate debut on Saturday for the Ravens against Edinboro and punted eight times. He totaled 323 yards, which was good for an average of 40.4 yards per kick. Benitez's longest punt of the day was a 46-yard boot in the second quarter.

Benitez and the Ravens (0-1) are back in action on Saturday, Sept. 10, when they travel to Carson-Newman for a 1 p.m. kickoff in Jefferson City, Tenn.
