Ravens Set to Open East Regional Against Goldey-Beacom, Thursday

The double-elimination bracket includes top-seeded Jefferson (38-15), a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) powerhouse, who awaits Game 1 loser later on Thursday. The winner of this regional advances to face the champion of East Regional 2, which features Wilmington (2), Felician (3), Pace (6) and Molloy (7).
Franklin Pierce Preview
Franklin Peirce (31-19) enters postseason play behind a balanced blend of experience, power hitting and emerging young talent. The Ravens had eight players with All-Conference accolades by the Northeast-10, led by senior second baseman Kiobel Lugo and senior outfielder Shane Hewlette, both named to the NE10 First Team.
Lugo brings an electric presence to the middle of the order. The Boston native blasted a team-leading 17 home runs and swiped 21 bases, pacing the Ravens in runs scored (51) and slugging percentage (.618). He has been the spark plug for the Franklin Pierce offense all season.
Hewlette, in his debut season with the program, has been the team's most consistent run producer. The senior from Deer Park, N.Y., hit .304 and led the team with 50 RBIs and 13 home runs.
Additional offensive firepower comes from Anthony Marcano, Joey Acker, and Nolan DeAndrade — all Second Team All-Conference picks. Acker, the team's leading hitter (.372), sets the table with 64 hits and 13 stolen bases, while Marcano and DeAndrade have combined for 22 homers and 74 RBIs.
On the mound, Drew DeLucia and Niklas Pavia provide a one-two punch. DeLucia, the Ravens' ace, owns a 6-4 record with 70 strikeouts over 76 innings. Pavia has been a strikeout machine, fanning 94 batters in 67.2 innings and holding hitters to a .261 average.
Goldey-Beacom Preview
The Lightning (34-19) are riding high after a strong CACC campaign, which included a school-record 15-game winning streak and a flawless 12-0 start to conference play. GBC was ranked as high as No. 17 nationally this season and led the CACC in stolen bases (147, 14th in NCAA DII).
Three Lightning players earned Second team All-CACC nods: Jaden Dickerson, Mikey Hawbaker, and Anthony Charles.
Dickerson, a powerful bat in the heart of the lineup, leads GBC with 60 RBIs, 10 home runs, and 16 doubles — all among the conference leaders. He recorded 18 multi-RBI games this season and is the emotional leader of the Lightning offense.
Charles is another dangerous hitter, tied for second in the CACC with 11 home runs, while driving in 46 runs and hitting .341. Hawbaker leads the staff with a 5-2 record and a 3.40 ERA, showing his ability to shut down lineups late in the season.
