INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (5/15/23) – Following the official announcement of the 56-team field on Sunday evening, the Franklin Pierce University baseball team (34-17) has been selected as the fourth seed in the upcoming 2023 NCAA DII East Regional Tournament.

This marks the 18th time in program history that the Ravens have earned a bid to the NCAA Championships, as is also as their third straight appearance in the Regional field. The Ravens will be accompanied in a three-team pod by some familiar Northeast-10 Conference names, including top-seeded host Southern New Hampshire University (37-11) and recent Conference Champion, No. 5 seeded Pace University (33-19).

Pierce will open tournament play on Thursday, May 18^th at 11:00 AM against fifth-seeded Pace. The loser of that game will then face Southern New Hampshire later on Thursday afternoon (2:00 PM) for the first elimination game, while the game one winner will advance to will play on Friday, May 19, also at 11:00 AM. The remaining matchups are contingent on how many teams remain following day one.

The last remaining team of East Regional I pod will then advance to the May 26^th & 27^th East Super-Regional, where it will battle the winner of East Regional II's field of No. 2 Goldey-Beacom College (Host), No. 3 Le Moyne College, No. 6 Queens College (N.Y.) and No. 7 Felician University. The winning team of the Super Regional then moves on to the Division II College World Series at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, North Carolina from June 3^rd through the 10^th.
