Jake Miller Selected As NE10 Baseball Player of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (3/27/23) – Senior catcher Jake Miller (Waltham, Mass.) got hot at the plate this past weekend, helping the Franklin Pierce baseball team earned a sweep over Saint Michael's College, earning him his first Northeast-10 Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors of his collegiate career.

Throughout the four-game weekend series against the Purple Knights, Miller brought in seven RBI after going 7-of-13 at the plate, additionally scoring five total runs. Out of his seven hits, Miller delivered a pair of home runs in each of the Ravens' matchups with Saint Michael's on Sunday afternoon, finishing the week with a .538 batting average, a .625 on-base percentage and a 1.154 slugging percentage. On the defensive end, Miller was also perfect from the field with a 1.000 fielding percentage, contributing three putouts a pair of assists.

This season, Miller holds a combined .267 batting average through 15 games played with two home runs and 13 RBI, with 12 total hits.

Up next, Pierce baseball hits the road for three consecutive weekends, beginning with a trip to Le Moyne College for an in-conference series with the Dolphins beginning on Friday, March 31st at 12:00 and 3:00 p.m.
