Kyle Roche is the Northeast-10 Baseball Pitcher of the Week
MANSFIELD, Mass. (3/7/23) – Junior right-hander Kyle Roche (Braintree, Mass.) has been named the NE10 Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league offices on Monday afternoon after recording a shutout win in his only outing this past weekend.
Roche was light out against Post University on Friday, March 3rd where he tossed a near flawless seven innings. As the winner in the weekend series opener, Roche allowed just five hits with three walks, striking out nine total batters for the second time this season, moving to 2-0 on the season. The Raven righty currently holds a conference leading 0.67 earned run average, and is also tied for the lead in overall wins. His 18 strikeouts this season is currently fourth amongst Northeast-10 pitchers.
Pierce baseball has put a cap on their early season road trip to the Carolinas, but will still have to more weekend series to play on the road before making their return to Pappas Field. The Ravens will be back in action this coming Saturday (3/11) for a doubleheader matchup at Jefferson University, with first pitch at 12:00 p.m.
