As a Freshman in
2011: Appeared in nine games on the mound for the Ravens,
including seven starts...Northeast-10 Conference
All-Rookie Team selection...Posted a 6-2 record with
a 3.64 ERA and one complete game over 47 innings...Allowed 24 runs
(19 earned) on 39 hits, walked 21, hit a batter, threw four wild
pitches, struck out 61 and held opponents to a .227 batting average
(39-for-172)...Made his collegiate debut by retiring both batters
he faced out of the bullpen in the top of the seventh, including
one strikeout, before the Ravens rallied to earn him his first
career win with two runs in the bottom half of the seventh in the
second game of a doubleheader against Molloy on 3/18...Made his
first career start, fired 6.2 shutout innings, allowed two hits,
walked two and struck out a career-best 12 to earn the win in the
front end of a doubleheader against Saint Rose on 3/26...Started,
chucked 7.2 innings, allowed one run on five hits, walked one and
sturck out nine to pick up the win in the first game of a
doubleheader at American International on 4/9...Started, threw five
innings, allowed three runs on five hits, walked three and struck
out six to tally the win in the front end of a doubleheader against
Pace on 4/16...Started, chucked six innings, allowed two runs (one
earned) on six hits, walked one and struck out 10 to pick up the
win in the first game of a doubleheader against Saint Michael's on
4/21...Threw a complete game, allowed six runs (five earned) on
eight hits, walked four and struck out five to garner the win
against Southern Connecticut State in the Northeast-10 Championship
on 5/14.
