MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 28, 2021) -- A pair of Franklin Pierce University alumni have been selected for induction into the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office. Baseball alum Mike Adams ’09 and women’s soccer alum Gabriela Demoner ’10 will become the eighth and ninth Franklin Pierce honorees in the NE10 Hall of Fame.

Adams and Demoner are part of a record 14-member NE10 Hall of Fame class for 2021. Inductees will be honored at events on their respective campuses on future dates to be determined.

Adams, a 2019 inductee into Franklin Pierce’s Hall of Fame, was crowned as the 2008 National Pitcher of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) after putting together a 1.36 ERA with 113 strikeouts over 112 innings on the mound. The 2008 campaign also earned him consensus Northeast Region Pitcher of the Year honors, Northeast-10 Conference Pitcher of the Year accolades and a consensus All-Northeast Region First Team selection. A three-time All-NE10 pick, a two-time All-Region selection and a three-time regional champion, Adams finished his career as the program’s all-time leader in strikeouts (261), ERA (1.78) and innings pitched (294).

Demoner, a part of Franklin Pierce’s 2020 Hall of Fame class, was a four-time All-American for the Ravens, including a trio of First Team selections. She was also a two-time pick as East Region Player of the Year and a four-time All-Region selection, which included three All-East First Team nods. Demoner was an All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team pick in each of her four seasons at Franklin Pierce, and earned NE10 Player of the Year honors in her sophomore and senior campaigns. She ranks third in the history of Franklin Pierce’s storied women’s soccer program, with 207 career points (82-43-207).

Adams and Demoner join seven previous Franklin Pierce NE10 Hall of Fame inductees (induction years in parentheses): Dr. George Hagerty (2010), Justin Blood (2011), Laura Hislop (2012), Johannah Leedham (2015), the 2007 men’s soccer national championship team (2016), Bruce Kirsh (2017) and James Thorpe (2018).
