RINDGE, N.H. (July 18, 2018) – A total of 247 student-athletes in the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics have been named to the 2018 spring semester edition of the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll, as announced last week by the Conference office. In addition, 28 student-athletes garnered perfect, 4.0 grade-point averages.

To be selected to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have posted at least a 3.0 grade-point average during the semester.

The 28 student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0 GPAs in the fall represented 18 different programs: men’s basketball’s Mike McDevitt (Cumberland, Maine); men’s track & field/cross country’s Peter Murray (Tewksbury, Mass.); men’s golf’s Tom Arisco (Cheshire, Conn.); men’s ice hockey’s Travis Geraci (Old Bridge, N.J.), Jonathan Haun (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Shepheard Stahel (Plano, Texas); men’s lacrosse’s Hunter Francoeur (East Hampstead, N.H.), Benjamin Lassow (Mansfield, Conn.), Gabriel Luciani (Keene, N.H.) and Grant Mello (Bedford, N.H.); men’s soccer’s Yannik Felber (Koblenz, Germany); women’s basketball’s Hannah Everidge (Baldwinville, Mass.), Kelsey Mayo (Oakland, Maine) and Jemma Thacker (Nairne, Australia); women’s cross country/track & field’s Marisa Carbone (Scarborough, Maine), Rebecca Zylak (Goffstown, N.H.), Eileen Savinelli (Goffstown, N.H.) and Hannah Shawver (Bedford, N.H.); field hockey’s Hannah Gouldrup (Ashburnham, Mass.) and Lauren Grimard (Turners Falls, Mass.); women’s lacrosse’s Maddie Hasson (Newington, Conn.) and Megan Schaeffer (Brookhaven, N.Y.); women’s soccer’s Aimee Malboeuf (Cumberland, R.I.), Viridiana Vazquez Kloss (Veracruz, Mexico) and Kiley Vermette (Enfield, Conn.); softball’s Jillian Ostrander (); women’s tennis’ Sonia Rodrigues (Swansea, Mass.); and volleyball’s Hannah St. Jean (Olympia, Wash.).

Franklin Pierce sponsors 22 sports which compete within the NE10, in which over 400 student-athletes participate. The 28 perfect 4.0 semester GPAs marked the second-highest total in the NE10, trailing only Adelphi (33).

In total, the NE10 saw 3631 (62%) of its more than 6000 student-athletes land on the Commissioner’s Honor Roll this spring. A total of 284 NE10 student-athletes posted 4.0 GPAs for the semester.
