RINDGE, N.H. (February 2, 2016) – Junior Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University men's track & field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Track Athlete of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office. In addition, sophomore Tom McGuckin (Clayton, N.J.) of the men's ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Goaltender of the Week and sophomore guard Jemma Thacker (Aldgate, Australia) of the women's basketball team has been named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

On Saturday at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, Minors turned in an 800-meter time of 1:50.27, to finish sixth. The mark increased his lead in the event at the top of the Northeast-10 performance list and is just 1.03 seconds off the NCAA Championships automatic qualifying standard. Minors also ran the anchor leg on Friday for Franklin Pierce's distance medley relay, which ran the fastest time in school history (10:00.99) and currently ranks third in the Northeast-10.

As for McGuckin, he logged all 125 minutes between the pipes for the Ravens in a 1-0-1 week. He made 67 saves against 68 shots on goal to post a .985 save percentage and 0.48 goals-against average. On Saturday night at Daniel Webster, McGuckin stopped all 27 shots he faced to post the program's first shutout in over three years.

- Jemma Thacker, women's basketball -- Thacker averaged 14.5 points per game and shot 66.7% from the floor -- including 7-for-10 from long range -- in a 1-1 week for the Ravens.
