RINDGE, N.H. (July 29, 2015) – A total of 246 student-athletes in the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics have been named to the 2015 spring semester edition of the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, as announced earlier this summer by the Conference office. In addition, 11 student-athletes garnered perfect, 4.0 grade-point averages.

To earn selection to the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must post a grade-point average of 3.0 or better during a given semester. Out of 15 Northeast-10 Conference institutions, five members had 250 or more student-athletes recognized, which meant Franklin Pierce's 246 ranked sixth in the league.

The 11 student-athletes who earned perfect 4.0 GPAs in the spring represented nine different programs: men's ice hockey's Matt Batis and Alex Schleper; women's lacrosse's Lauren Beville and Amanda Gauvin; field hockey's Carly Canavan; softball's Courtney Caputo; women's golf's Ashley Chubbuck; men's lacrosse's Eddie Noonan; women's track & field's Jackie Price; volleyball's Hannah Runge; and women's soccer's Caroline Savasta.

Franklin Pierce sponsors 19 programs which compete in the Northeast-10, with 16 of them putting 10 or more student-athletes on the Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. Two of the three teams to not reach double digits feature rosters smaller than 10 players, including women's golf, which had all five of its student-athletes honored for the second straight semester. Two programs had upwards of 20 members earn the accolade, as baseball and men's lacrosse each collected 21 honorees apiece. When combining cross country and track & field squads, that number jumps to four teams, as the men combined for 30 honorees and the women 25.
