Hopkinton Fairgrounds and Franklin Pierce Cross Country to Set to Host Major Cross Country Events in 2024 and Beyond

HOPKINTON, N.H. (10/02/2024) - The Hopkinton Fairgrounds and the Franklin Pierce University cross country teams continues its legacy of hosting elite-level cross country competitions, with a packed calendar of prestigious events lined up for 2024, 2025 and as of today, 2027.
The course, known for its challenging 2,000-meter loop featuring 90% grass and 10% dirt roads, will welcome top collegiate athletes across multiple divisions. Here's a look at the exciting events scheduled:
- Friday, October 11, 2024 – 12th Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, hosted by Franklin Pierce University
- Saturday, October 12, 2024 – NEICAAA Championships
- Saturday, October 26, 2024 – Northeast-10 Conference Championship
- Friday, November 15, 2024 – NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Championship
- Saturday, November 16, 2024 – NCAA Division III New England Regional Championship
- Saturday, November 8, 2025 – NCAA Division II East Regional Championship
- November 2027 - NCAA Division II East Regional Championship
These events will showcase the venue's ability to host large-scale competitions, including NCAA Division I, II, and III Regional Championships. The Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup, a hallmark event hosted by Franklin Pierce University, will kick off the season, while the NEICAAA Championships follow closely, bringing together some of the region's top talent.
Additionally, the Northeast-10 Conference Championship and the highly anticipated NCAA DI and DIII Regional Championships in November will test athletes' endurance and skill. In 2025 and 2027, the venue will once again host the NCAA DII East Regional Championship, continuing its role as a premier location for cross country competition.
In the past, the fairgrounds have had a strong history of hosting these high-profile events, including the NCAA Division II East Regionals in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2023. Additionally, the venue hosted the NCAA Division III Eat Regional in 2023, further highlighting its versatility across divisions. The Northeast-10 Conference Championships have also made multiple appearances at the fairgrounds, taking place in 2014 and 2018.
