MANSFIELD, Mass. (7/16/2024)  – The Northeast-10 Conference and FloSports today announced an historic multimedia rights agreement, joining NE10 NOW with the global sports media company and cementing the conference as a leader in broadcasting at the NCAA DII level.  The five-year, seven-figure agreement places the NE10 on a national platform while working to elevate the student-athlete experience across the league.

"We are thrilled to kick off this relationship with FloSports," said NE10 Commissioner Julie Ruppert.  "This partnership positions the league for continued success in the digital streaming space and capitalizes on our multi-year effort to enhance the viewing experience for our fans. Since the launch of NE10 NOW in 2018, the conference has been at the forefront of DII in ensuring our audience had live access to our sports, making us an early leader in content nationwide. This agreement provides important resources to our institutions, while allowing us the opportunity to become a central part of the FloSports and burgeoning FloCollege platforms.

We remain ever grateful for the support of our membership during this process. They are on the front line every gameday, providing outstanding broadcasts and experiences for our student-athletes and fans."

The NE10 is one of five DII conferences FloSports is currently partnered with to create a destination viewing platform for collegiate athletics at this level, joining the NE10 with the South Atlantic Conference, Gulf South Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Under the agreement, FloSports will carry more than 1,350 live events annually for NE10 full member institutions – starting with the 2024-2025 academic season – including both regular season and conference championship competition.  All broadcasts will be archived for replay on FloSports while member schools will also have the option to publish replays free of charge on their own platforms after 72 hours.  Non-conference road games or road games at NE10 associate members will be streamed through the host team's platform where available.

"The NE10 represents an attractive media market in the Northeast with a great history and legacy of sports and has already proven a strong audience connection with the success of its NE10 NOW platform," said Chris Keldorf, Sr. Director at FloSports. "Its addition to our FloCollege portfolio reinforces a robust D-II offering for fans and helps fulfill our mission of developing the essential home for college sports at the D-II and D-III level."

As part of the partnership, FloSports will additionally tell the NE10's story through original content and FloSports' own social media channels.  This is part of FloSports' plan to invest more than $50 million into its new venture, FloCollege, this fall, working to elevate NCAA DII and DIII athletics with rights fees, production, content, product technology, and marketing. That investment will help member institutions fund their own broadcast and production capabilities and further enhance the quality of coverage across all sports.

This move for the NE10 is the next evolution in the continued growth and development of NE10 NOW, the conference's league-wide streaming destination since 2018.  This past academic season, NE10 NOW saw more than 1,500 events viewed by nearly 750,000 fans worldwide in football, basketball, soccer, field hockey, volleyball, ice hockey, lacrosse, softball, baseball, swimming, track & field and tennis.  NE10 NOW has experienced 171% growth since launching.

100% of the revenue generated from this partnership will be reinvested into NE10 member institutions and the conference. The agreement promises to foster equitable broadcast production standards and further enhance the quality of coverage across all sports, ensuring parity and inclusivity.

FloSports college programming reached more than 38 million people in 2023 and next season will be the home for conferences including the BIG EAST and Coastal Athletic Association in Division I; the South Atlantic Conference, Gulf South Conference, Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and California Collegiate Athletic Association in Division II; and the NEWMAC, Landmark Conference and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in Division III.

Fans of the NE10 can subscribe to FloSports here. Memberships begin at $9.99 a month or $71.88 for an annual subscription ($5.99/month) when signing up with a .edu email address.  FloSports is available online and on its own mobile app (iOS and Android) as well as on smart TVs and streaming devices including Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV and more.
