Women’s Track & Field’s Brena Named NE10 Field Athlete of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (May 3, 2022) -- Senior Paola Brena (Burlington, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's track & field team has been selected as Northeast-10 Conference Field Athlete of the Week, for the week ending on May 1, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office.
Brena got up and over 1.70 meters on Saturday at Central Connecticut State, to win the event at the Blue Devil Invite, and meet the NCAA Championships qualifying standard in the process. The mark is second in the NE10 on the season and is currently tied for 21st in the country.
Brena and the Ravens hit the championship portion of their season this weekend, as they head to Stonehill for the NE10 Championships on May 6-7, in Easton, Mass.
