Women’s Soccer’s Cahalane Named as NE10 Rookie of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 20, 2022) -- For the second time this year, freshman Mollie Cahalane (Merrimac, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team has been named as Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, this time for the week ending on Sept. 18, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office.
The Ravens played only once last week, but Cahalane was instrumental in a 2-0 win at home over Saint Anselm on Wednesday night. After the first hour went scoreless, she struck for the eventual game-winner in the 65th minute, on her only shot of the game.
On the season, Cahalane has played in all six games for the Ravens, including one start. She is the team's leading scorer, and tied-third in the NE10, with eight points on four goals, two of which have been game-winners. Cahalane has been extremely efficient, as her four goals have come on just five shots, all of which have been on-target.
Cahalane and the Ravens (4-1-1, 1-1-0 NE10) are back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 20, when they host intrastate rival and No. 13 nationally-ranked Southern New Hampshire at 7 p.m. on Sodexo Field.
