Women's Soccer Tabbed Second in 2010 NE-10 Preseason Coaches Poll

RINDGE, N.H. (August 10, 2010) The Franklin Pierce University womens soccer team was picked to finish second in the 2010 Northeast-10 Conference Preseason Poll, which was released on Tuesday by the league. The Ravens earned 209 points in the poll, as the voting was done by the leagues 16 head coaches.
Angelika Johansson Earns NE-10 Scholar-Athlete Sports Excellence Award for Women's Soccer

RINDGE, N.H. (March 3, 2010) Franklin Pierce University standout Angelika Johansson (Falkenberg, Sweden) recently earned the Northeast-10 Conference Scholar-Athlete Sports Excellence Award for the sport of womens soccer. It marks the first year the NE-10 is handing out such awards to one representative of each league-sponsored sport.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 4, 2010) The Franklin Pierce University mens and womens soccer teams were honored on Thursday as each team had at least one member named to the 2009 Northeast-10 All-Academic Soccer Teams. Three womens soccer players were named to the womens side, including senior back Rachel Smith (Chichester, N.H.), junior forward Angelika Johansson (Falkenberg, Sweden) and sophomore forward Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.). Sophomore midfielder Victor Goncalves (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) was named to the mens team.

(December 10, 2009) Franklin Pierce University womens soccer standouts Gabriela Demoner (Vitoria, Brazil), Angelika Johansson (Falkenberg, Sweden) and Rachel Smith (Chichester, N.H.) earned post-season honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), as announced by the organization on Thursday. All three earned First-Team All-East Region honors, while Demoner and Johansson were named second-team and third-team All-Americans, respectively.
