ORANGE BEACH, Ala. (December 1, 2007) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team saw its quest for a record sixth National Championship come to a close in disappointing fashion as 14th-ranked University of Tampa captured its first title in program history with a 3-1 decision on penalty kicks after the two sides played to a scoreless double-overtime draw at the Orange Beach Sportsplex this afternoon.

(November 29, 2007) – Franklin Pierce University, ranked 16th in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Division II coaches’ poll, ended No. 2-ranked Seattle Pacific University’s quest for a perfect season and first National Championship with a 2-0 victory at the NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championships, hosted by the University of West Florida and the City of Orange Beach, in front of 368 tonight.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. (November 1, 2007) – For the first time since 1999 the Northeast-10 Conference Women’s Soccer Tournament Championship will not belong to Franklin Pierce University as the third-seeded Ravens, ranked 16th in this week’s National Soccer Coaches’ Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas Division II poll, were eliminated by second-seeded and 8th-ranked Bryant University in semifinal round action at the Bryant Turf Field tonight. The Bulldogs posted a 7-6 decision in a penalty kick shootout after the two sides played to a scoreless draw after 110-minutes of regulation and two overtime periods.
