Women’s Lacrosse Lands 13 on IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. (July 28, 2022) -- Thirteen members of the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team have been named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Division II Academic Honor Roll for the 2022 season, as announced Wednesday afternoon by the IWLCA. In addition, the Ravens earned Academic Honor Squad accolades at the team level.

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 26, 2022) - Fourteen Franklin Pierce student-athletes across seven spring sports pushed the envelope in the classroom, earning NE10 Academic All-Conference accolades per the official announcement by the league office on Wednesday morning. The fourteen Ravens selected to Academic All-Conference were out of a pool of 130 total selectees from the NE10 Conference for the 2022 spring season.

Women’s Lacrosse Wraps up Season with 13-6 Loss at No. 5 Adelphi

GARDEN CITY, N.Y. (April 27, 2022) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team hit the road for a Northeast-10 Conference matchup against the No. 5 nationally-ranked Adelphi University Panthers on Wednesday evening. A trio of Ravens found the back of the net two times each in a 13-6 loss in the team’s season finale.

First Half Sinks Women’s Lacrosse in 17-10 Loss at No. 15 Pace

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (April 23, 2022) – Nine in the first and five more in the second allowed No. 15 nationally-ranked Pace to build a 14-2 halftime lead over the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team at Pace Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Ravens turned the tables and posted an 8-3 edge in the second half, but it was not nearly enough to dig out of the early hole, as the home-standing Setters went on to a 17-10 victory in the Northeast-10 Conference contest.

Women’s Lacrosse Nipped at No. 20 Saint Anselm, 12-10

MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 20, 2022) – Riding a stretch of four wins in five games in April, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team headed east on Wednesday night, for a Northeast-10 Conference matchup with intrastate rival and No. 20 nationally ranked Saint Anselm College. Senior Kaitlyn Daly (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) netted three goals, but the Ravens came up just short in a 12-10 defeat.

Fun Times on Senior Day for Women’s Lacrosse in 21-4 Win over AIC

RINDGE, N.H. (April 16, 2022) – For one final time in 2022, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team hit Sodexo Field, for a Northeast-10 Conference matchup with the American International Yellow Jackets on Saturday afternoon. Though celebrating Senior Day, it was the graduate-student duo of Caroline Lounsbury (Franklin, Mass.) and Jenna Cimbron (Bristol, R.I.) who scored four times apiece in a commanding 21-4 win.

WORCESTER, Mass. (April 13, 2022) – Riding a three-game win streak, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team headed south to No. 18 nationally ranked Assumption University for a Northeast-10 Conference matchup on Wednesday night. A strong offensive performance by the Greyhounds was too much to handle for the Ravens, who saw a three-game winning streak snapped with an 18-8 loss.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 9, 2022) --- It was an offensive show on Saturday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team, as the Ravens used a nine-point outing (7-2-9) from senior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) to lead the way in an 18-4 romp over No. 25 nationally ranked Saint Rose in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Ernst, graduate student Jenna Cimbron (Bristol, R.I.) and junior Gabrielle Oswald (Nedrow, N.Y.) all recorded hat tricks in the victory for the Ravens, while sophomore Deanna Ciliento scored three times in defeat for Saint Rose.

Lounsbury Nets 100th Career Goal; Women’s Lacrosse Outlasts Saint Michael’s, 12-7

RINDGE, N.H. (April 5, 2022) -- Graduate student Caroline Lounsbury (Franklin, Mass.) scored her 100th collegiate goal as part of a three-goal outing on Tuesday afternoon, and the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team used a four-goal fourth quarter to finish off a 12-7 win over Saint Michael’s at Sodexo Field. Senior Morgan Baxendale (Orchard Park, N.Y.) led the charge for the Ravens, with five points on three goals and two assists. Freshman Addy Fenton contributed 2-1-3 in defeat for Saint Michael’s in the Northeast-10 Conference contest.

Women’s Lacrosse Squeaks Past SCSU, 12-11

RINDGE, N.H. (April 2, 2022) -- Graduate student Jenna Cimbron (Bristol, R.I.), junior Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) and senior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) all collected four points apiece on Saturday afternoon, and the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team held on in the fourth quarter to hand Southern Connecticut State a 12-11 loss in Northeast-10 Conference play at Sodexo Field. Senior Bayleigh Takacs went for seven points (5-2-7) and senior Karlie Rowe scored four times in defeat for the Owls.

Fourth-Quarter Lead Slips Away, Women’s Lacrosse Downed at No. 16 Bentley, 13-10

WALTHAM, Mass. (March 30, 2022) -- Leading by two late in the third quarter, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team had No. 16 nationally ranked Bentley on the ropes on Wednesday night at Bentley Field. The home-standing Falcons would not be denied in the Northeast-10 Conference affair though. Graduate student Cara McCarthy scored twice to key a 4-0 fourth quarter, as Bentley rallied down the stretch for a 13-10 victory. Senior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) found the net five times in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

Late Rally Comes up Just Short as Women’s Lacrosse Falls at SNHU, 16-15

HOOKSETT, N.H. (March 26, 2022) -- Trailing 15-11 in the final 10 minutes, the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team made a run at it on the road on Saturday afternoon at Penmen Stadium. Junior Katelyn Hadden (Newburyport, Mass.) scored three straight times to cap a seven-point day (5-2-7) and cut the gap to 15-14, but a goal with 3:21 to play by Southern New Hampshire sophomore Shelby Cole -- her 10th point of the game (5-5-10) -- proved to be the clincher. Senior Kaitlyn Daly (LaGrangeville, N.Y.) put home her sixth goal of the game down the stretch, but the Ravens dropped a 16-15 decision in Northeast-10 Conference play.

Women’s Lacrosse Felled by No. 6 Le Moyne, 23-9

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (March 22, 2022) -- Three different players tallied at least five points on Tuesday at Sodexo Field, as No. 6 nationally ranked Le Moyne rolled to a 23-9 victory over the home-standing Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team in Northeast-10 Conference play. Seniors Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) and Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) both had hat tricks in defeat for the Ravens. Graduate students Sydney Meagher (3-3-6) and Erin McMullen (5-1-6) led the way for Le Moyne.

Third Quarter Troubles Sink Women’s Lacrosse at No. 19 New Haven, 16-11

March 19, 2022

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (March 19, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team hung in it for the first half and then some on the road at No. 19 nationally ranked New Haven on Saturday afternoon, but the Chargers were eventually too much to handle. Six goals in the third, plus six more in the fourth, saw the hosts expand on a 4-3 halftime lead and eventually pull away for a 16-11 victory in Northeast-10 Conference play at Zolad Stadium. Senior Savannah Ernst (American Fork, Utah) led the Ravens with four goals in defeat, while New Haven junior Annie Acquavita paced all players with six points (5-1-6).

RINDGE, N.H. (March 15, 2022) -- Senior Megyn Ayotte (Guilford, Vt.) scored four goals and added an assist on Tuesday afternoon, but did not get much help offensively, and it was not nearly enough for the Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team in the squad’s Northeast-10 Conference opener. Stonehill senior Kendall Fressle struck for seven goals and an assist, while junior Lydia Rudden piled up seven points of her own (2-5-7), as the duo powered the visiting Skyhawks to a 22-11 win.
