Women’s Ice Hockey Has 12 Pick Up AHCA All-American Scholar Honors

GLOUCESTER, Mass. (July 27, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's ice hockey team has had 12 student-athletes named as All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association, as announced last week by the AHCA.

To be eligible for selection, a student-athlete must have posted a grade-point average of 3.75 or higher during both semesters of the previous academic year and have participated in at least 40% of their team's games. Exceptions to the participation minimum were granted to injured players and backup goaltenders.

A total of 240 Division I women's ice hockey student-athletes were honored by the program. Franklin Pierce's 12 recipients were tied for second in the New England Women's Hockey Alliance, with Post. The two trailed only Sacred Heart (14).
