Conor Foley Named a Finalist for the 22nd Joe Concannon Award

BOSTON, Mass. (2/15/23) – Per the official announcement made by Gridiron Club of Greater Boston president Cheryl Duddy-Schoenfeld, senior forward Conor Foley (Nahant, Mass.) was included in a list 33 players unveiled as semifinalists for the 22nd annual Joe Concannon Award.

This season, Foley serves as the team's captain, and currently leads the team with 34 points on the season (16-18-34). In addition to points, Foley's +5 rating is also good for a team's best, having played through 26 games this season. Foley is also ranked 2nd all-time in program goals scored (44).

Established in 2001, the award is presented annually to the top American-Born hockey player in New England for both NCAA Division's II & III. The award is named in the honor of the late Joe Concannon, a longtime writer for the Boston Globe. Foley joins a small handful of other Northeast-10 hockey players as semifinalists for the distinguished award, including Saint Anselm's Matt Hayes and Jack Murphy, Assumption's Jack Philippon, Post's Nick Weber, and Saint Michael's Jeremy Routh.

With the Northeast-10 Conference, Foley is a four time Player of the Week, as well as a one time All-Conference First Team, All-Rookie Team, and All-Championship Team honoree.

Men's hockey opens their final weekend of the regular season with two in a row against in-state rival Saint Anselm College, beginning this Friday (2/17) at 7:00 p.m.
