The two media outlets recently listed the top-50 toughest golf courses on ESPN’s website. The Shattuck, located in Jaffrey, N.H., is the home golf course for the Franklin Pierce University golf program.

(April 30, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University golf team concluded its 2009-10 season on Friday as it placed fourth out of six teams with a 57-over par, 341, at the Blazers Invitational, hosted by Elms College at the Chicopee Country Club in Chicopee, Mass. Elms won the tournament after firing a 319 (+35).

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 20, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University golf team shot a final round 27-over par, 315, to finish in fifth place out of 10 teams at the 2010 American International Invitational at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Mass. The Ravens, who sat in seventh place entering Tuesday’s final round, finished with a two-round total of 639 (+63). AIC won the tournament by carding a 608 (+32).

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 15, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University golf team shot a 29-over, 317 on Thursday to tie for fourth place in the WNEC Invitational at the Veteran’s Golf Course in Springfield, Mass. It marked the sixth time this season Franklin Pierce finished among the top-five in the team standings of a tournament and the first time this spring they achieved the feat. Babson won the tournament by carding a +18, 306.

(October 20, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University golf team finished 29th out of 40 teams at the 2009 New England Intercollegiate Golf Association (NEIGA) Championship over the past two days at the 36-hole Captains Golf Course in Brewster, Mass. on Cape Cod. The Ravens shot a combined 662 (+85) over the two rounds of the championship, which was sponsored by Cleveland Golf and Srixon, two of the major brand names in the game.

(September 21, 2009) – Senior Peter Panopoulos (Rindge, N.H.) shot a second-round 77 on Monday afternoon to finish with a two-day total of 154 and lead the Franklin Pierce University golf team to a team score of 640 and 12th place finish out of 17 teams at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship, hosted by Post at Wintonbury Hills Golf Club. Panopoulos’ 154 put him in a four-way tie for 19th overall. American International junior Greg Strattner and sophomore Kevin Daniels tied for medalist honors at 144 to lead AIC to the team title with a two-day score of 591.

Panopoulos’ 77 ties him for 20th position after the first day of the championship, which will conclude on Monday. American International junior Greg Strattner shot a 69 to lead all players on Sunday and lead AIC to a 294 and the first-round lead.
