Northeast-10 Conference Football Weekly Report

MANSFIELD, Mass. (September 27, 2022) -- Freshman Austyn Howe (Newington, Conn.) of the Franklin Pierce University football team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on Sept. 25, as announced on Monday afternoon by the league office.

Howe caught five passes for 81 yards (16.2 yards per reception) on Saturday, as the Ravens picked up their first-ever NE10 victory, with a 7-3 win at American International. His longest catch was a 30-yard snag in the third quarter, which helped set up the game's only touchdown.

On the season, Howe has recorded six catches for 92 yards (15.3 yards per reception). It is the third NE10 Rookie of the Week award in four weeks to start the season for the Ravens, after fellow freshman Alex Benitez (Belle Meade, N.J.) was honored for the first two weeks of the season.

Howe and the Ravens (1-3, 1-1 NE10) are back in action on Saturday, Oct. 1, as they return home to host Bentley. Opening kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Sodexo Field on Homecoming and Family Weekend.
