MANSFIELD, Mass. (February 17, 2022) -- Franklin Pierce University has had eight student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the fall season, as announced earlier this month by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 90 student-athletes across seven sports honored by the NE10.

(February 2, 2022) – As he continues to build his program from the ground up, head coach Russell Gaskamp and the Franklin Pierce University football team are proud to announce their 2022 recruiting class on Wednesday afternoon. RINDGE, N.H. (December 6, 2021) -- Continuing an awards-filled fall, junior running back EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) has become the first All-Region selection in the history of the Franklin Pierce University football program. Burgess chalked up All-Super Region 1 First Team honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA), as announced late last week.

Burgess Named NE10 Offensive Player of the Year; Football Has Three Earn All-Conference Honors

MANSFIELD, Mass. (November 17, 2021) -- In just its second year at the Division II level, the Franklin Pierce University football team has already produced a major conference award winner. Junior EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) has been selected as the Northeast-10 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, to headline a three-player slate of All-Conference selections for the Ravens, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the league office. Burgess also landed on the All-NE10 First Team Offense, while freshman Trey Sejour (Everett, Mass.) and junior Qudair Sims (Mount Holly, N.J.) were named to the All-NE10 Second Team Defense. Sejour was also picked as a member of the All-Rookie Team.

Football Falls to No. 19 New Haven in Season Finale, 34-20

RINDGE, N.H. (November 13, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University football team closed out its second season on Saturday afternoon, on its home turf at Sodexo Field, against nationally-ranked opposition. The Ravens were able to score 20 points against Northeast-10 Conference champion and No. 19 New Haven, which matched the most points the Chargers had given up all season. In the end though, New Haven would come away with a 34-20 victory to finish off its perfect NE10 season.

Football Falls on the Road to Stonehill, 34-7

EASTON, Mass. (November 6, 2021) – Senior Justin Felder rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns on Saturday afternoon, as Stonehill dealt the Franklin Pierce University football team a 34-7 defeat in Northeast-10 Conference play at Stonehill. Freshman Cole Alexander (Anderson, Ind.) threw for 119 yards, including a 20-yard touchdown strike to freshman Kyle O’Connor (Nashua, N.H.) for Franklin Pierce’s only score of the afternoon.

Burgess Has Big Day, Football Hangs with No. 11 Bentley, but Falls, 24-14

WALTHAM, Mass. (October 30, 2021) -- Against a team which had been held under 30 points just twice in seven games, the Franklin Pierce University football team did some damage on the ground, shortened the game, and hung right with No. 11 nationally ranked Bentley on the road on Saturday afternoon, before ultimately dropping a 24-14 decision. Junior EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) ran for 186 yards and a score to lead the way for the Ravens. Graduate student Andrew Brazicki answered with 108 yards and two touchdowns for Bentley, while senior Stephen Sturm threw for 150 yards and another TD.

Football Downed by SCSU, 43-24

RINDGE, N.H. (October 23, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University football team fell at home, 43-24, to Southern Connecticut State on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field, as the Ravens were unable to hold back the Owls’ offense. Junior EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) rushed for 149 yards and three scores to lead the way for Franklin Pierce. Freshman Marc Reali threw for 378 yards and two touchdowns to guide SCSU to the victory.

Burgess Runs for 191 Yards, Football Falls at Pace, 39-31 (2 OT)

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. (October 16, 2021) -- For the second straight time out, the Franklin Pierce University football team took things to overtime, on Saturday afternoon at Pace Stadium. Junior EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) rushed for 191 yards, but to no avail, as the Ravens were tripped up in double-overtime, 39-31, on the road at Pace, in Northeast-10 Conference play. Graduate student Carlton Aiken found fellow graduate student Brian Dolan for 25 yards on what would stand as the game-winning touchdown pass.

Football Erases Early Deficit, Falls in OT to Assumption, 35-28

The Franklin Pierce University football team fell to the Assumption University Greyhounds on Saturday afternoon in an overtime thriller by a 35-28 margin at Sodexo Field, marking the first overtime contest in Ravens football program history.  The victory elevates Assumption to 2-1 on the season, as the Ravens fall to 0-5 in a hard-fought defeat.

Football Stumbles at Saint Anselm, 42-7

MANCHESTER, N.H. (September 25, 2021) -- The aerial attack of Saint Anselm proved to be too much to handle for the Franklin Pierce University football team on the road at Grappone Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Sophomore Drew Willoughby threw for 370 yards and a trio of touchdowns, as the host Hawks rang up a 42-7 win over the visiting Ravens in the Northeast-10 Conference contest. Franklin Pierce did post 177 rushing yards on the day, but was outgained in total offense, 453-276.

RINDGE, N.H. (September 18, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University football team opened the second Northeast-10 Conference campaign in program history on Saturday night, as the Ravens welcomed American International to a bustling Sodexo Field. Junior Jayson Demild threw for 300 yards and four scores, as the Yellow Jackets used two touchdowns each in the second and third quarters to open up a gap and deal Franklin Pierce a 38-19 defeat. Sophomore Drew Campanale (Shrewsbury, Mass.) threw for 160 yards and a touchdown in defeat.

Football Tripped Up by Lake Erie in Home Opener, 31-20

RINDGE, N.H. (September 11, 2021) -- Once things got underway on Saturday afternoon at Sodexo Field, they got going in a hurry. The Franklin Pierce University football team and Lake Erie traded three touchdowns in the opening five minutes, in a game which was delayed three hours at the start. Junior EJ Burgess (Pearland, Texas) rushed for 180-plus yards, including a 71-yard touchdown rush, but Devin Brown answered with a two-touchdown day of his own, as Lake Erie spoiled Franklin Pierce’s home opener, 31-20.
