Cross Country/Track & Field Announces 2018-19 Coaching Staff

RINDGE, N.H. (June 6, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University cross country and track & field program, under the direction of Assistant Athletic Director and Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Zach Emerson, has announced its 2018-19 coaching staff.
Cross Country Programs Combine to Boast Eight USTFCCCA All-Academic Selections

RINDGE, N.H. (February 12, 2018) – A total of eight members of the Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s cross country teams have earned United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors, as announced late last week by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s cross country programs have been honored at the team level by the USTFCCCA All-Academic program.
Women’s Cross Country Finishes Program-Best 12th at NCAA Championship East Regional

AMHERST, N.Y. (November 4, 2017) – It was a high-water mark in the history of the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team on Saturday at Audubon Golf Course. The Ravens closed out their season in style, by finishing a program-best 12th (out of 25 teams) at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Daemen College. Sophomore Rebecca Zylak (Goffstown, N.H.) led the way for the crimson and grey in the 173-runner field, as she placed 47th.

Women’s Cross Country Piles Up PRs to Finish 11th at NE10 Championship

WESTFIELD, Mass. (October 22, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team saw each of its top-three finishers post personal bests on Saturday, which helped the team to an 11th-place finish (out of 15 teams) at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by American International College at Stanley Park. Sophomore Rebecca Zylak (Goffstown, N.H.) led the way with a 41st-place finish.
Cross Country Picked to Finish Eighth (Men), Ninth (Women) at NE10 Championships

(October 20, 2017) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country team has been picked up finish eighth, in a 15-team field, at the upcoming Northeast-10 Conference Championship, as announced on Thursday by the Conference office. In addition, the women’s team was selected to finish ninth.

BOSTON (October 7, 2017) – Sophomore Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) led the way in 158th place on Saturday, as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team finished 28th (out of 28 teams) at the NEICAAA Championships at Franklin Park.

(September 16, 2017) – Freshman Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) led the way with a third-place finish on Saturday, as the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team placed third, of five teams, while hosting the Bruce Kirsh Cross Country Cup at Hopkinton State Fairgrounds. Six Ravens finished in the top 20 on the day.
Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Both Crack USTFCCCA Regional Rankings

(September 13, 2017) – For the first time in school history, both the Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s cross country teams are regionally ranked in the regular season, as announced on Tuesday evening by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. For the women, it also marked the first time in program history the team has been regionally ranked during the regular season.

(September 9, 2017) – Freshman Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) led the way for the second straight week for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team on Saturday, as she turned in a sixth-place finish in a 95-runner field at the Smith College Cross Country Invitational. The Ravens put two of their runners in the top 10, which helped the team to a third-place finish in the nine-team meet.

EMMITSBURG, Md. (September 1, 2017) – Freshman Marissa Farago (Salisbury, Mass.) ran the second-fastest time in program history on Friday afternoon, as she led the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s cross country team at the Mount St. Mary’s 5K Duals. At the season-opening meet, the Ravens posted a victory over host Mount St. Mary’s, while suffering defeats at the hands of American, George Washington, Maryland, Maryland-Baltimore County and Navy.
