Bio

Hannah Williams enters her second season as an assistant coach for the volleyball team here at Franklin Pierce University in 2018. Williams heads to Rindge after teaching mathematics and coaching volleyball at West Bloomfield High School this past year. She also played two years of collegiate volleyball as a defensive specialist at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mich. (2013-14) and two years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College (2011-2012).

In the “Motor City” during her first year as a Warrior (Bio), Williams participated in 23 matches including six starts. She collected 91 digs and recorded a career-best 15 digs versus Indianapolis on October 25, 2013. As a redshirt senior, she was named to the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) All-Academic Excellence Team while appearing in 16 matches over the course of the campaign. A two-sport athlete, Williams also competed on the track and field team at Wayne State for the inaugural indoor season.

Before her stop at Wayne State, Williams competed for two years at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. In 2011, she was named to the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCAA) All-Academic team as well as earning the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Award of Superior Academic Achievement. In her final season as a Cougar, Williams, a Second Team All-MCAA Western Conference Selection played in 30 matches and amassed 510 digs, 37 assists, 27 service aces and seven blocks.

A native of Plainwell, Mich., Hannah graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Wayne State in December 2015 and is pursuing her Masters of Business Administration in Sports Management here at Franklin Pierce.
