The Ravens came out tough in the key conference matchup, easily
taking the first two games thanks to a pair of very strong
finishes. In the opening game, Franklin Pierce trailed 15-13 but
rattled off 12 of the next 14 points and 17 of the final 22 to earn
the 30-20 game-one win. In game two, the home team went on an 11-1
run to extend a 7-6 lead to 18-7, and the Ravens finished up by
taking 12 of the last 13 points to cruise to a 30-12 win.
Saint Rose attempted a comeback in the third game, jumping out to
an 11-5 lead, but the Ravens battled back to take their first lead
at 18-17. The home team extended its lead to as many as four at
27-23 and the teams alternated the final six points as the Ravens
took the win.
Franklin Pierce (12-10, 6-2 NE-10) improves its record at the
Fieldhouse to an impressive 9-1 on the season, and the Ravens will
look to increase that mark with two home matches tomorrow at the
Fieldhouse. The Ravens take on Le Moyne in a Northeast-10 match
beginning at noon and battle with Bridgeport at 4:30 p.m. Saint
Rose (10-7, 3-3 NE-10) will look to snap its four-match losing
streak on Tuesday against C.W. Post.
