CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.), formerly of the Franklin Pierce University women's track and field team, has been featured in the upcoming fall 2019 edition of the NCAA's Champion Magazine. The article, titled "A Time of Transition", was written by Champion Magazine's Associate Editor, Rachel Stark-Mason, and profiles Telfer's experience as the NCAA's first transgender national champion. Track & Field Has Four Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors

NEW ORLEANS (August 7, 2019) – Senior Lilian Baah (Danielson, Conn.) and freshman Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team, along with sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) and junior Trevor Guay (Londonderry, N.H.) of the men’s team, have all earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as announced late last month by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s squads were honored as All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA.

Track & Field has Four Earn Spring NE10 Academic All-Conference Honors

EASTON, Mass. (June 17, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field program has had four student-athletes earn Academic All-Conference honors from the Northeast-10 Conference for the spring, outdoor season, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office. Sophomore Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France), junior Tyler Hayes (Kings Park, N.Y.) and sophomore Antonio Rua (Burrillville, R.I.) earned the accolade for the men’s team, while junior Julia Cormier (Northwood, N.H.) was honored from the women’s team.

EASTON, Mass. (June 16, 2019) – Freshman Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Field Rookie of the Year for the outdoor season, as announced earlier this week by the Conference office.

NATIONAL CHAMPION! Telfer Claims Women’s Track & Field’s First NCAA Title

KINGSVILLE, Texas (May 25, 2019) – In just its seventh year of existence, the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team has its first national champion. Senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) took control of the 400-meter hurdles down the back stretch on Saturday night and went on to post victory by more than a second, in a personal collegiate-best time of 57.53 seconds. Telfer also added All-America First Team accolades in the 100-meter hurdles earlier in the day, on the third and final day of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville, at Javelina Stadium.

KINGSVILLE, Texas (May 24, 2019) – For the Franklin Pierce University track & field program, it was three Ravens in action on Friday, at the second day of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville, at Javelina Stadium. It would be one Raven who earned All-America honors, one Raven who is now assured of All-America plaudits on Saturday, and one Raven who narrowly missed All-America accolades.

KINGSVILLE, Texas (May 23, 2019) – Senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team has qualified for the national final of the 400-meter hurdles, and assured herself of All-America honors in the process. Telfer posted the fastest time out of three preliminary heats on Thursday night, at the first day of the NCAA Championships, hosted by Texas A&M-Kingsville at Javelina Stadium.

INDIANAPOLIS (May 14, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University track & field program will be represented by three student-athletes at the NCAA Championships, as announced Tuesday afternoon by the NCAA. (May 11, 2019) – It was a pair of student-athletes combining to lay claim to three New England titles on behalf of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team on Saturday, at the second day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut State. Senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) took first place in both the 100- and 400-meter hurdles, while senior Lilian Baah (Danielson, Conn.) was victorious in the triple jump.

(May 10, 2019) – Freshman Paola Brena (Queretaro, Mexico) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team earned All-New England honors in the high jump on Friday, leading the way for the Ravens on the first day of the NEICAAA Championships. In all, Franklin Pierce had three athletes compete in four events on the front end of the two-day meet, hosted by Southern Connecticut State.

Telfer Claims Three NE10 Titles, Women’s Track & Field Places Seventh at NE10 Championships

MANCHESTER, N.H. (May 4, 2019) – Senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) took home three Northeast-10 Conference titles on Saturday, to lead the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team on the second and final day of the NE10 Championships, hosted by Southern New Hampshire. It was part of a day which saw the Ravens collect six medals on the way to a seventh-place finish, out of 12 teams. Telfer also earned the award for the meet’s Most Outstanding Performer.

(May 3, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team was in action at Southern New Hampshire on Friday, on the first day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. The Ravens got points from three athletes, while senior CeCe Telfer (Lebanon, N.H.) qualified for three finals, and the team is currently 10th out of 11 teams at the two-day meet.

TROY, N.Y. (April 27, 2019) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team was in the Empire State on Saturday for its final regular-season meet, before heading for the Northeast-10 Conference Championships next weekend. The Ravens finished fourth, of 14 teams, at the Capital District Classic, hosted at Harkness Field by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, on the strength of three event wins and nine top-five victories.

Women’s Track & Field Shines at Pair of Meets, Wins Eric Loeschner Invite

April 20, 2019

FITCHBURG, Mass. (April 20, 2019) – With championship season just two weeks away, the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team had athletes in action at a pair of meets on Saturday, and the Ravens were rounding into championship form at both of them. At Princeton’s Larry Ellis Invitational, it was three NCAA provisional marks, including a pair of times which rank in the top five in the country. Meanwhile, at the Eric Loeschner Memorial Invitational at Fitchburg State, it was a meet title, with seven event wins and a slew of top-three finishes. Across the two sites, the Ravens won 10 events on the day.
