CONWAY, S.C. (March 20, 2015) – Sophomore Samantha Toscano (Northwood, N.H.) competed in two other events in the heptathalon, as she currently stands 13^th out of 22 competitors after day two of the Shamrock Invitational held at Doug Shaw Stadium on the campus of Costal Carolina.

Toscano finished 15^th in the long jump with a jump of 4.50 meters, earning her 428 points. Her second event of the day was the javelin, which she came in 12^th with a throw of 21.58 meters. The throw earned her 318 points. Her final event of the day came in the 800 meters, where she finished 15^th with a time of 2:55.72. The time became a personal best for Toscano in the event. She wraps up day two with a total of 2226 points going into tomorrow's final day of events.

Other notable finishes by the Ravens came from juniors Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) and Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.). Koch set a personal best time of 19:21.48 in the 5000 meters, finishing 22^nd out of 40 competitors. Loney finished 60 out of 82 in the 100 meter dash with a time of 13.16 seconds.

Further results on the field events were still being processed and will be reported in tomorrow's recap.

The third and final day of the competition will conclude tomorrow right back at Doug Shaw Stadium.
