Price Leads the Way for Women's Track and Field at Tuft's Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD, Mass. (February 7, 2014) - Franklin Pierce Women's Track and Field competed in the Tuft's Cupid Challenge Saturday afternoon, placing 13th out of 17 teams. Junior Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.) now ranks 11th in the Northeast 10 with her second place finish in the 60 Meter Hurdles.

Price placed 14th out of 61 in the 60 Meters with a time of 8.28, which is also her season best, she also placed 17th out of 74 in the 200 Meter race with a time 27.94. Price placed second in the 60 Meter Hurdles with a time of 9.23, her season best, which earned 8 points for the Ravens, ranking her 11th in the Northeast-10.

Junior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.) placed 12th out of 37 in the 400 meters race with a time of 1:02.35.

Loney,  junior Nicki Zeigler (Circleville, N.Y.), freshman Danielle Crawford (Lowell, Mass.), and sophomore Nicole Galewski (Pembroke, Mass.) placed second in the 4 x 200 Relay with a time of 1:49.17, earning 8 points for the Ravens

Sophomore Kendra Plant (Cumberland, R.I.) placed 12th out of 47 in the Shot Put with a distance of 10.59 meters, while junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.)  placed 13th with a distance of 10.41 meters. Plant placed 14th out of 34 in the Weight Throw with a distance of 12.79 meters, while Hyde placed 15th with a distance of 12.28 meters

The Raves return to action Friday, February 13th at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational hosted by Boston University in Boston, Mass.
