Women's Track and Field Attends the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (January 25, 2014) – The Franklin Pierce women's track team competed in the Greater Boston Track Club Invitational at the Harvard-Gordon Indoor Track Facility at Harvard University on Sunday. Junior Shannon Lozier 's (Merrimack, Mass.) time for her 5000 meter race qualified her for sixth in the Northeast-10 Conference.

Junior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.) placed third in the 60 m with a time of 8.17

Junior Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.) placed 11th out of 49 in the 200 meter with a time of 28.50, while sophomore Ashley Burgess (Hyde Park, N.Y.) placed 14th with a time of 28.67.

Two Ravens placed in the top five of the 1000 meter race out of 11 runners. Freshman Natalie Davis (Ware, Mass.) placed fourth with a time of 3.28.34 and junior Doria Brown (Little Falls, N.J.) placed fifth with a time of 3.29.99. Junior Hadley Doubleday (Plymouth, Mass.) was right on her heels, placing sixth with a time of 3.30.42.

Sophomore Holly Lindoe (Holbrook, N.Y.) placed 20th out of 43 runners in the mile run with a time of 5:51.81. Junior Kayla DiGiantommaso placed 25th with a time of 6:12.91.

Lozier's time in the 5000 meter, 19:57.47, makes her sixth in the Northeast-10.

Price placed first in the 60 Hurdles finals with a time of 9.38.

Sophomore Nicole Galewski (Pembroke, Mass.) placed second in the long jump with a distance of 5.09 meters.

Sophomore Kendra Plant (Cumberland, R.I.) placed fifth in the women's shot put with 10.58 meters, while junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.) placed seventh with at 10.17 meters.

Three Ravens were in the top 10 for the weight throw, Plant placing sixth at 12.27 meters, Hyde in eighth at 12.01 meters and freshman Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.) placed ninth with 11.59 meters.

The Ravens return to action on Friday January 30th at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University.
