Hyde and Plant lead Women’s Track and Field at NYC Gotham Cup

NEW YORK, N.Y. (January 17, 2015) – Junior Nadine Hyde (Maple Valley, Wash.) and sophomore Kendra Plant (Cumberland, R.I.) each put out strong performances in their respective field events as the Franklin Pierce Women's Track and Field team competed in the NYC Gotham Cup in New York City.

Hyde was able to throw a season best 13.48 meters in the weight throw, ending up fifth best in the Northeast-10 Conference. Plant came in with her own season in the weight throw as well with a throw of 13.07, and sixth best in the conference behind Hyde.

On the track, the Ravens saw strong showings form juniors Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.) and Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.). Loney nearly had a top 50 in the 60 meter dash with a time of 8.17 seconds, while Koch saw the same story with a time of 2:28.69.

The Ravens return to the track on January 24th for the Art Farnham Invitational hosted by MIT.
