Women’s Track & Field Competes on First Day of NEICAAA Championships

DMR runs season best

Loney BOSTON (February 27, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University women's track & field team's distance medley relay squad ran a season best on Friday to highlight the team's outing on the first day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Boston University at the BU Track & Tennis Center.

The squad of junior Danielle Koch (Coventry, Conn.) to junior Monique Loney (Stamford, Conn.) to freshman Natalie Davies (Ware, Mass.) to junior Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.) stopped the clock at 12:22.99 to finish 13th. The time knocked approximately 15 seconds off of Franklin Pierce's previous season best.

Elsewhere, the Ravens had two student-athletes compete individually on the first day of the New England Championships. Junior Jackie Price (Brick, N.J.) finished 21st in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.29 seconds. Meanwhile, Loney also competed in the 60-meter dash, where she posted a time of 8.30 seconds to finish 31st.

Franklin Pierce is scheduled to compete in the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays on Saturday at the second day of the NEICAAA Championships.
