RINDGE, N.H. (October 14, 2018)  On Sunday afternoon, the Franklin Pierce University Ravens women's tennis team was defeated by Southern New Hampshire University, 7-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Franklin Pierce.

With the loss, the Ravens' record now stands at 2-12 (2-9 NE10) while the opposing SNHU Penmen improve to 7-6 (6-4 NE10).

The match started with doubles, where the Franklin Pierce pair of junior Sarah Rich (Windham, Maine) and freshman Grayson LaCroix (Cherry Valley, Mass.) were able to take one game, but did not have enough to win the match, falling 6-1. The other two doubles matches went to the Penmen in 6-0 sweeps, which gave the doubles point to SNHU.

The singles matches kept with the pace set by the doubles matches, with SNHU winning all six of the singles points. Ravens junior Alana Wyatt (Worcester, Mass.) had the closest score of the day, as she fell short by only two games in the first set of her match. She was ultimately defeated by SNHU senior Anna Sala, by a score of 6-4, 6-2.

The match concluded the fall portion of the season for the Ravens, who will return to action in the spring.
