Women’s Tennis Falls to Post, 7-0

RINDGE, N.H. (September 20, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team was defeated at home in non-conference play on Thursday afternoon, 7-0, by visiting Post.

With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 0-4, while Post improves to 2-1.

The most-competitive matches of the day came at second and third singles. At second singles, Franklin Pierce freshman Grayson LaCroix (Cherry Valley, Mass.) was defeated by Post junior Areej Fareh, 6-2, 7-5. Meanwhile, at third singles, junior Sarah Rich (Windham, Maine) held her own before falling to freshman Dea Lako, 6-4, 6-3.

In the end, all six Post players notched victories in both singles and doubles play, led by junior Andrea Sandoval. She posted a 6-2, 6-1 win at first singles after teaming with senior Juliana Seabra to sweep to a 6-0 win at second doubles.

The Ravens return to the court on Saturday, Sept. 22, when they remain home to host American International in a Northeast-10 Conference match at noon.
