Women’s Tennis Stopped by Stonehill, 9-0

Ravens visit SNHU Saturday

RINDGE, N.H. (September 23, 2015) – The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team was defeated on Wednesday afternoon, 9-0, by Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference play at Franklin Pierce.

With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 0-6 (0-5 Northeast-10), while Stonehill improves to 4-2 (3-1 Northeast-10).

The Ravens collected just seven games across six singles matches and three games across three doubles matches on Wednesday afternoon. Senior Nicole Gilooly (East Sandwich, Mass.) provided three of the singles game victories in her matchup at fourth singles with freshman Nicole Downey. The latter ultimately picked up at 6-2, 6-1 victory.

Stonehill had two players win in both singles and doubles play, led by senior Bailey Paradiso, who won at both first singles and first doubles. After rolling to an 8-2 victory alongside sophomore Emma Prinos at first doubles, Paradiso notched a 6-1, 6-0 win at first singles.

The Ravens return to the court on Saturday, Sept. 26, when they travel to Southern New Hampshire for a Northeast-10 Conference match at 1 p.m. in Manchester, N.H.
