Swimming Falls at Wellesley, 228-23

WELLESLEY, Mass. (November 4, 2017) – After a week off, the Franklin Pierce University women's swimming team returned to the pool on Saturday afternoon at Wellesley. The Ravens were dealt a 228-23 defeat by the Blue.

The Ravens turned in a quartet of top-three individual finishes on Saturday, to pick up the bulk of their scoring on the day. Freshman Josephine Krysinski (Olympia, Wash.) led the way with two third-place finishes in freestyle events. In the 200-yard freestyle, she turned in a time of 2:20.97, while she stopped the clock at 6:10.29 in the 500-yard freestyle.

Two other Franklin Pierce swimmers posted one third-place finish each. Freshman Mary Messina (Rindge, N.H.) posted a time of 26.89 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle, while freshman Danielle Ward (Colorado Springs, Colo.) clocked in at 36.23 seconds in the 50-yard breaststroke.

The Ravens return to the pool on Friday, Nov. 10, when they travel to Saint Michael's for a tri-meet with a pair of Northeast-10 Conference foes. The Ravens will take on Merrimack, as well as the host Purple Knights, beginning at 5 p.m. at Ross Sports Center in Colchester, Vt.
