Swimming in Action at Third Day of Northeast-10 Championships

WORCESTER, Mass. (February 10, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University women's swimming team was back at it on Saturday morning at the third day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by Assumption College. The four-day meet is being held at the Sports & Recreation Center, on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The Ravens had four individuals in action in preliminary heats on Saturday. Freshman Nicole McIntosh (North Pole, Alaska) led the way for the Ravens on the penultimate day of competition, by finishing 20th in the 100-yard butterfly, with a time of 1:02.23. Her mark was just 1.19 seconds away from the final qualifying time for Saturday evening's finals.

Franklin Pierce's remaining three competitors all took to the pool in the 200-yard freestyle. Freshman Emalee Frady (Anaheim, Calif.) finished 32nd (2:11.38), freshman Mary Messina (Rindge, N.H.) placed 34th (2:13.22) and freshman Josephine Krysinski (Olympia, Wash.) took 36th (2:19.08).

The NE10 Championships conclude on Sunday on the campus of WPI.
