WORCESTER, Mass. (February 8, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University women's swimming team was in action on Thursday evening at the first day of the Northeast-10 Conference Championships, hosted by Assumption College. The four-day meet is being held at the Sports & Recreation Center, on the campus of Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

The Ravens fielded teams in a pair of relay events on the Championships' opening day: the 200-yard medley relay and the 800-yard freestyle relay. In the 200-yard medley relay, an all-freshman lineup of Emalee Frady (Anaheim, Calif.), Nicole McIntosh (North Pole, Alaska), Mary Messina (Rindge, N.H.) and Josephine Krysinski (Olympia, Wash.) finished ninth, with a time of 2:07.95.

It was the same quartet, but in a different order, for Franklin Pierce in the 800-yard freestyle relay. McIntosh was followed by Frady, Krysinski and Messina to put together a swim of 8:57.69.

The NE10 Championships continue Friday through Sunday on the campus of WPI.
