United Soccer Coaches national poll

RINDGE, N.H. (September 18, 2018) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team has entered the United Soccer Coaches national poll as the No. 24 ranked team in the country, in advance of Tuesday’s night’s Northeast-10 Conference showdown at Southern New Hampshire, as announced Tuesday morning by the coaches’ association.

For the Ravens, it marks the first national ranking since early September in 2011, when they were ranked No. 16 before falling back out of the poll. Franklin Pierce will square off with the defending NE10 champion Penmen on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Manchester, N.H. SNHU appears in the “Also receiving votes” section of the national poll.

United Soccer Coaches ranks the top 25 teams in the nation each week during the season. This week’s rankings are the third such poll of the 2018 campaign. The poll is voted on by head women’s soccer coaches from across the country. Central Missouri (6-0-0) is currently the No. 1 team in the country. One other NE10 is ranked in addition to Franklin Pierce, as Adelphi (4-0-0) checks in at No. 18.
