Northeast-10 Conference Women's Soccer Weekly Report (PDF)

RINDGE, N.H. (September 17, 2018) – Junior forward Veronica Marques (Sao Paulo, Brazil) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the Conference office.

Marques earns the honor on the heels of a 2-0-0 week for the Ravens. She piled up seven points across the two games, on three goals and an assist. Marques did most of her work on Wednesday night at home, when she scored twice, including the game-winning goal, and added an assist in a 4-1 win over Le Moyne. On Saturday evening at American International, she put home the game-winning goal in the first half.

On the season, Marques has scored in each of the team’s first four games. She has totaled 11 points on five goals and one assist, and has scored the game-winning goal in each of the four contests. Marques has attempted 16 shots, including 10 shots on goal.

The Ravens return to the field on Tuesday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Southern New Hampshire for a rematch of last season’s NE10 title game. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Penmen Stadium in Manchester, New Hampshire.
